Artist Statement

My studio practice examines multiple approaches to making art and memories. As my catalog of memories deepens, my perception of reality and history is altered. My work allows me to explore my environment at a particular moment and to freeze the forms and colors that represent my time in that space. I travel and collect images as the initial mechanism to develop ideas. I use painting, collage and printmaking to express those ideas visually.
